Description
This unique piece was handbuilt by Siobhan Miles-Moore in the Miles-Moore Ceramics Studio at Brathay Hall in the beautiful English Lake District. Siobhan calls her spherical and semi spherical forms Microcosms, because all of them represent wider stories or responses. They explore perspective, encouraging us to consider internal and external surfaces and our favourite view of this intersection. This piece is gently decorated with layers of slip containing stone from Lancashire Yorkshire and Cumbria. The interior is gilded with tin.
