Description
This unique piece was handbuilt by Siobhan Miles-Moore in the Miles-Moore Ceramics Studio at Brathay Hall in the beautiful English Lake District. Siobhan calls her spherical and semi spherical forms Microcosms, because all of them represent wider stories or responses. They explore perspective, encouraging us to consider internal and external surfaces and our favourite view of this intersection. This piece is textures with iron rich slip to be reminiscent of the bark of the SIlver Birches that can be seen from our Studio, The Interior is gilded with Copper.
