Description
This unique piece was handbuilt by Siobhan Miles-Moore in the Miles-Moore Ceramics Studio at Brathay Hall in the beautiful English Lake District.
During early 2020 Siobhan spent a great deal of time in Farfield Mill where they have been making fine woollen fabric for centuries. All around the looms are distinctively shaped “reel” of wool for weaving; these reels are in fact called Cops. Working with this form and a combination of slips, slates and oxides and taking inspiration from the wool and the water that creates them for colour and texture resulted in a new body of work.
