Description
This unique piece was handbuilt by Siobhan Miles-Moore in the Miles-Moore Ceramics Studio at Brathay Hall in the beautiful English Lake District. Siobhan calls her spherical and semi spherical forms Microcosms, because all of them represent wider stories or responses. They explore perspective, encouraging us to consider internal and external surfaces and our favourite view of this intersection. This Microcosm inspired by racing water uses slate and stone from Lancsahire Yorkshire and Cumbria and is glazed with a gently mottled aqua coloured metal leaf.
