Description
This unique piece was hand thrown on a wheel by Martin Miles-Moore in the Miles-Moore Ceramics Studio at Brathay Hall in the beautiful English Lake District. Neriagi Bowl with a Clear Shap Pink granite glaze. Neriagi is a Japanese word that refers to the specific technique of combining different coloured clays in a wheel thrown piece of work. The two ( or more) clays are layered and wedged together , firmly enough to remove air bubbles, but not so much as to create a muddy effect. When this combination clay is throw the spirals that are created are unique and almost impossible to influence. The provides each piece with a unique character.
